hello, my ame is willem. i'm a 40 year old car and bike nut from belgium. born and raised in holland but living in belgium for about 12 years now. first of all wanna say absolutly fantastic what yo guys do down there with cars. freaking jealous about the prices of parts in america compared to europe.
now thats out of the way. been hooked on us cars for about 20 years now. the car i own now is a 71 riviera boattail. been looking for a 71 for about ten years here in europe but about 2 years ago a found her. first summer did the inside(except the dash), made a splitbumper put on some 15" wheels and started riding.

in winter got to work, put in new rearside qaurterpanels, lowered the car by 2inch, Put stiffer shocks in the back and front(good for now but some day needs to be upgraded), took off the bumpers and had them matt black powdercoated, put in a budnik sttering wheel and fitted 20". this being the result:

now got the lines i wonna go with. now starting to think about what to do about the ride. biggest isseu: money. next isseu: never ever seen a pro touring boattail before. so been searching the net for parts and stuff. off course HELP from you guys ob the right side of the big ocean is welcome. would like to keep the stock engine but will be rebuild and slightly tuned(cos of the petrol prices here, sorry got to say this, forced to be running on LPG). another transmission, gotta be for everyday use also. will keep everybody updated but will be a 10year driving project, like to ride in the summer and build in the winter. beside my car also like to build bikes, but budget friendly. here my girls custom yamaha dragster and after that my kawa VN(now in pieces because off a rebuild.

hope you all like my project and i hope to learn a lot here. after all i might be a mechanic here in europe, but us classics are still a different ballgame.
finally i hope i didn't make a lot of grammar errors, but he forgive me; i'm a forreigner. looking forward to see all off your great projects and event coverage.
