I am in the market for a car stereo and really don't want to buy a traditional head unit. I stumbled across a soon to be released product from RE Audio that allows you to stream music through a Bluetooth enabled device directly to the amplifier.

Has anyone here heard of, or used RE Audio products?

A quote for the Youtube page,"Re Audio showcased a Bluetooth car amplifier at CES 2013 that connects directly to a Bluetooth enabled device for streaming music. In this video we showed the example of connecting a smartphone to the amp and streaming music directly to the amp without the need of a car stereo.

This is great news for those with tablet installations, classic cars, motorcycles, or other scenarios where you wouldn't want to remove the factory stereo for aftermarket sound."

That is very cool and I can see like you said a guy could have a stock AM radio and just stream everything from my iPad to my car while I drive. I was looking at a unit like this so I can have Navi, iPod, XM Radio, etc all in one. I'm looking at using an MCI console and installing this in the console ahead of my shifter.

I just got this Scosche unit. http://youtu.be/fhy_xlv_Ouw it seems to do everything and at less than $150 I couldn't see why not give it a try. Scosche Car Stereo Receiver with Wireless App Control.

My Toyota plays blutooth audio and it just ok. Would be acceptable for a fun car. I would hope they add a mic input so you can use it like an integrated speakerphone.
