hi guys,

looking for some advice on wheel selection? was looking at 18x9.5 (275's) fronts and 18x12 (335's) rears, have mini tubs, G-Link, right stuff big brake kit and complete ridetech front end components including tru turn. this will be a street car but driven hard! my question is anybody running 19's all around?

another concern is me being from Detroit roads are a huge concern (probably the worst in the country!) with that being said i need enough rubber between the road and the rim so im not bending wheels constantly? also has anybody had any experience with american racing wheels? they just came out with a new custom wheel that is really inexpensive but only come in 18" not completely sold on them yet, may have to just pull the trigger and spend some real coin on nicer wheels, guess its like buying your daughter a 800 dollar prom dress and giving her nikes to wear!

looked at ccw's 3k, budniks 3k, rushforths and forgelines 4+, american racing Vn's 1500!:hammer:

Which VN were you looking at, most of their wheels are only 11" wide?

I believe they are burnout VN472. They are a brand new line

Not a bad looking wheel for the money..wheels are definitely a tough decision. Kind of like picking jewelry for the other woman..ha

Don't know if you are in a big hurry to get wheels but Forgeline usually has a black friday sale around thanksgiving. Could save you decent chuck of cash

Looks like is available in any size and while not what I'm after ( live wires or lateral-g) it just might be what I do depending on available $$$

It is hard to dismiss the price, and honestly it is a pretty good looking wheel albeit it doesn't have that omg wow factor. What backspace would you guys run on the front ? In an 18x9 size and a 275 tire?.

Cast wheels wont take the impact forged wheels will. I wish I knew where these guys get the money for 7k + on wheels and tires. Then they scrub all the rubber off in auto X! This sport is only for the well heeled. I would consider many more wheels with the 18 in back but the wider tires in 18 inch are rare. So I am likely going to stagger them 18-19". Where have you found a 335 non DOT for the 18" back?

I believe bf Goodrich, nitto and Pirelli still make them in 335/30r18, there are also drag radials obviously not idea as well as Micky Thompson SR good for burn outs only probably! I don't mind the staggered look either, puts me back at zero on rims though?
