i have been painting for the last 2 weeks enough parts to build about 11 tilts, i have them in the stock finish satin black and polished base clear black, they are all floor shift and i assemble them as they sell, only a 1-2 day wait time on these( not 2 weeks to let the paint cure) i use automotive paint and it takes a week or two to cure to ship, the paint is already cured and i am ready to assemble them , they are 400.00 with 25.00 shipping, you have your choice of billet or stock tilt and turn levers and i can also shave the neutral lever at the base of the column under the power booster if you have a 5-6 speed, my website is gmtilt.com , the prices are 425 on there but i am dropping the price back down to 400.00 each tonight and adding more pics , i only use gm ign switches and gm parts, these are not china columns, all original gm parts ! the 68 columns is already sold but i have 5 more to build, they are same price with billet or stock levers, Jim 850-382-7125

I'm sure I've asked you this before as but can you make one with the rectangle end like an ididit column? Still haven't gotten one and plan to do so this fall. Thanks in advance!

sounds like exactly what we talked about the other day for mine Jim...... the day is getting closer. I whacked my frikken knee on the wheel again yesterday getting in the damned car. If I had tilt it would sure as hell make it easier to get in over the seat bolsters!!

if you look on the pictures here, the one column tube with the plate welded on it is for 70-73 , or 74-81 with different upper parts, i can have you one put together right away, all the parts are painted,,,,,,,,,you can afford it , it will just add value to the car , i hate not having tilt in anything i drive, i cant remember the last time i didnt have a tilt column and i dont have a big belly :)

Man I wish I had the money. My stock column needs to be replaced.
Question, though. I have a 69 Nova but I plan on doing push button start, so I don't really want/need the ignition on the column. Can you make one that will work for me?

Sorry may have worded it wrong. Where the column meets the rag joint. I have an after market rack and pinion in a 69. Was wondering if they could come with the rectangle ends vs the splined ends. Would keep from having to buy an adapter and would look much cleaner. Thanks again!

thats no problem, should be a 1 inch double d end, i have them in stock, same price on column no change, Jim

start getting me one ready with the billet levers Jim. Looking to do the direct fit for the 70 but with the high-beams on the column instead of the floor(like we talked about the other day at the shop) Will it have a firewall plate on it? Give me a call if you get a chance. Thanks dude, Bill

a bump for you Jim.

06-20-2013, 08:28 AM
due to the overwhelming demand for my columns, and the very limted availabilty of cores i am forced to raise the prices from 400 to 500 each, i am very sorry for the inconvience, i just cant keep these in stock and i have to travel all over looking for cores, they dont just fall off the trees :( and they are not reproduced to where i can oder parts all the time, * note* for all who have already made a deposit the price is still the same for you. these are getting very hard to find and my junkyard buddies are not getting them in as they used to and with the price of fuel to go to swap meets to get cores, i am a one man shop and its very hard to keep up with the demand, once again sorry i had to bump the price but i had no choice, Jim

Man, that sucks, was going to get one and install during the rewire project. Does this shortage mean you would redo a 71 core?
birdsandbowties
07-23-2013, 06:10 AM
if you have a core thats better, i get 250.00 to rebuild a core column however you want it, i adjusted my prices down to 425 and back to 400 on some others, i am working on a 97 yukon to go to swap meets with, i sold my gas guzziling 454 bbc van that got 9 mpg, cant believe someone actually wanted it , swap meets will get back going for me at end of august and i should be back to normal then, if you want yours rebuilt call me at 850-382-7125, Jim
