Weatherstrip problem

The body is all aligned and I go install new weather stripping on the car and the doors will not close now??? Any thoughts. Thanks

I guessing the car is a 67 firebird, what weather stripping comapny did you use? steele products and OER are a little thick on the door... Metro doors weatherstripping fits better, for the wing window on the 67 theres a small comapany call california classic chevy parts, makes the very best for that, the upper window weatherstrip I have only used metro

I bought oer. The door forced closed is still out a half inch. So I don't know what to do now. I spent good money and I'm not happy. Thanks

Mine were the same way, I pulled the Soft Seal weatherstripping off and installed Metro. 100% better.

Yeah unfortunately there are some significant differences between weatherstripping from manufacturer to manufacturer. We have a few select ones we have had good luck with. Also, some manufacturers make some of the best of a particular item, and not so good on others.
