Ls 2 in 67 camaro, tru turn setup. What mounts and headers work best?
Iroc-z steering box as well.

These are Kooks 1 7/8 primaries with Dirty Dingo slider mounts..fit great with plenty of room around my DSE box. They only hand about a 1/2" below the subframe and the quality is perfect. I google shopped and got them for around 825.00. Highly recommend. Mine is a '69, but it shouldn't matter.

Thanks Matt but do you have the tru turn system? It changes things I believe

Running a ls6 with autokraft mounts/pan and stainless works long tubes and iroc box. Fits like a glove. Can't speak for the tru turn though.

Yea originally was just gonna do the no brainier hooker setup but I hear it doesn't play we'll with the tru turn, I suppose I will need a header that is more swept back, I should just say screw it, bolt some manifolds on backwards and setup some twins!! :)

Hooker headers is what's on the 48 Hour Camaro so there should be no fitment issues. I'm running them and don't see that they would have any problem with the TruTurn setup.

I am using Dynatech headers with Truturn on a LS. They do hang lower than I like.

I have not installed my tru turn yet, but I have measured, and it looks like it won't even be close, as in no issues. It was one of the first things I checked, so I'm confident the tru turn wil work.

Thanks guys, i was looking at those dyna techs as well but i have read that they hang a bit low, regretfjlly here in michingan you have to be mindful of that. We probably have the worst roads in the country

I Really wanted the dynatechs until the price jumped From 450 to 600 ish. For the amount of complaints I heard about hanging low I figured I would have to save up for my stainless works. They tuck really nice and come with bolts, sealer for a gasket and extensions with bungs. I ended up spending 750 shipped from a special on this forum. I figured the extra 150 was worth it and it was!

Thanks Brian, they do make some nice looking headers. I was extpecting about a grand between headers, pan & mounts?

That is doable no doubt. eBay plates or home made, dynatechs or shorties and pan from gm or aftermarket. It's only more expensive to have to buy something twice. As in a pan too low or mounts that are not quite right. Just do your homework and you'll be fine.

Well said! My exact reasoning for all the questions, ive come to learn spend a little more up front or spend twice later

I'm a big fan of the Dynatech's. I run them with the Trans Dapt plates. Both the standard position and 1" setback. The fit has been excellent. They tuck up nicely. I've seen posts of people saying they hang down but maybe i've been one of the lucky ones so far. I've put on 3 different sets on a 68 and 69 camaro, and a 72 nova. All were ls1/ls2 cars.

Can you post a photo of the projection below your sub so I can compare? Thanks
