Has anybody run into difficulty with Forgeline's hitting the dust cover on front drum brakes preventing the wheel from being in the proper position? I am going to swap to Wilwood brakes but know that they also have a long snout. Running GZ3's with a flat center cap. Any help is appreciated.

If you are running a big "snout" or a large wheel hat I dont see how you would have a issue but dont take my word for it. The issue that I think you will have is with the center cap. Unless you are running a C6-6 style hub you will not be able to run a center cap at the bearing cap will no allow the center cap to snap into the wheel or bolt on if thats what you have.
I cant run the center cap on my WC3 wheels on the front for this reason. I did purchase the billet beraing cap from KORE3 to make it look better. Hope this helps

Is this a used set of wheels that you are adapting to your application? Because all Forgeline wheels are custom made-to-order for each customer based upon their unique fitment requirements. So assuming that we were provided with correct measurements at the beginning, then you should not have any brake clearance issues. Obviously, once you start making other changes from the original setup, then all bets are off. :)
We offer a couple of longer center cap options to accommodate the longer snouts. The standard press-in Tall Center Cap will allow for an extra 5/8 inch of clearance but still just presses into place using the normal O-ring. See: http://www.forgeline.com/products/accessories-finishes/center-caps/tall-aluminum-cap.html
We also offer the Competition Cap which actually bolts to the face of the wheel instead of sliding into the center. This is normally intended for the Competition Series wheels which aren't designed for a standard press-in cap, but could be useful in other situations too. See: http://www.forgeline.com/products/accessories-finishes/center-caps/competition-cap.html

OK, I'd suggest contacting me directly and explaining it to me again. Maybe we can solve this with a simple center cap upgrade.

I have a set of ZX3R's on my 70 GSX replica with Wilwoods. My bolt on Forgeline caps fit after sectioning a portion out of the Wilwood screw on dust cap and welding back up.

This is a very common question. In MOST circumstances, we don't need any measurements from the customer. We know most of the stock fitment constraints. And many of the aftermarket component manufactures can supply us with the dimensions that we need.
However, there are limits to our existing knowledge base. And in the pro-touring world, the possible combinations are virtually endless, and we see so many completely custom fabrications that there is often no existing data set. Some of our pro-touring customers are the first ever to try a given combination. So in these cases, yes, it is best if we can get some real measurements.
For now, I'll point you to 2 places:
1. Our online custom fitment form at http://www.forgeline.com/wheel_fitment.php
2. A video of Dave Schardt demonstrating how to take custom measurements for the 48-hour Camaro project at http://youtu.be/ax8cQa_Ihjc
These 2 sources together should clarify a few things. If not, then feel free to contact me. Sorting out these customer measurements is a big part of my job!

It ALWAYS makes sense to do your own measurements and provide them directly to the manufacturer when ordering custom wheels. It is great that Forgeline provides a measurement worksheet. Most wheel companies do not. I'm sure in the worksheet is a measurement for the snout length.
Do not rely on a dealer to guess measurements for you. Same goes for brake caliper clearance as well.
These kinds of measurements are a piece of cake with a few nice rulers.
