hi Guys,
this is sort of a split suspension and brake question.
I'm looking for a spindle for my 71 Monte to go with the QA1 and tubular arms. I am going to be running the 355mm Z06 discs and Kore3 brackets/calipers etc.

I see on CPP's site they have 2 inch drop C5 spindles coming......I am looking for a low ride height, does anybody know when these are going to be released, or am I going to have better geometry with the standard height spindle and cranking down the coil overs?

I've done well so far at only buying one set of parts rather than impulse buys only to find something better shortly afterwards.
any input is appreciated.
Warren

Warren,
You probably won't find many people here looking for or keeping up with release dates on the CPP C5 spindles. You might be better off with a tall dropped spindle from a vendor that can actually provide support. I learned about CPP's lack of knowledge when I ask for a spring rate on their product and the person could only tell me "its the same as factory.." I also don't think anyone knows what steering arm they actually use, but i could be wrong? Personally I'd check with Ridetech on the spindle and see if it can be used with control arms other than their own. My fear is you end up with a product no one here has knowledge of and then you have a question no one can answer. Good luck whatever you choose.

well I figured I would go right to the source for info, so I called them this a.m. and asked about a release date for the dropped c5 spindle.
the guy didn't know what I was talking about, even though the info is on their site.
so I called back later with an actual part number for the piece and the second guy was slightly more familiar and said a plastic mould had been made but no tentative date for part production or release.
so I'm back at sqaure one.
I'm really trying to not drop a grand on spindles....so maybe I'll crank down the coil overs for now until I come up with a better plan.
Thanks for the input Chris.

disregard...I see the ridetechs are $350.....I'm all over those.

Just verify you can use them with your control arms. If so, you can pair them with the billets hubs from Kore 3 and call it done....

I thought the Kore3 kits were engineered for the stock spindels, hence the need for the hubs? If you buy a c5 spindle what do you need the kore3 parts for?

You're correct.
I wanted a drop spindle , but since cpp doesn't have a release date for theirs, I have to use a conventional style spindle and a Kore3 hub.
