I am removing all the new 4 wheel disc I just installed on my 69 camaro because I got a deal on all the brake parts with my ls1.
I plan on installing the KoR3 brackets and hose kits ,I saved the stock drumb spindels to use but have not figured out what to do about the c5 e brakes yet.
I know I am using the c5 master and either cutting off the existing fitting ends and re flairing the fittings,or looking for adaptors or I might just replace the lines with metric all together.
my question is with the booster, I was just in the shop looking at 3 boosters, I have a new oem repro, the c5 booster and a 7" duel diafram that I was going to use for the c5 conversion brackets.
wich booster would work the best?
Using the 7" would be great because it looks good and its tiny compared to the others, but not shure if it would make the vac pressure like the other 2.
The stock one would bolt up because I just removed it..that about it for positives on that.
The c5 I would think would work the best and I have had great luck on my 67 camaro doing the same swap, but it did stick out and up so it did not look so great.
Has any one bolted one on flush to the firewall like a newer car? I measured and the 2 top bolts on the booster matched up so it looks like I could drill out the bottom holes but would still have to angle the booster with a wedge spacer bring the bottom out around 1" and the rod hole will need to be moved a bit to make the rod line up with the pedal.
has anyone tryed doing this before I start cutting and drilling? or will the 7" duel diafram work?
Also any other tips on my swap would be great.
