Building a 427 BBC for my 69camaro. It will be a street strip car with around 550hp and pushing 7,000 rpms. Which rod would you choose, a 6.135 eagle H beam. Or a 6.135 Manley I beam thats fully cnc machined both rods are forged 4340. Thx for the help...

What kind of compression is this at? Are you going to run any N20 or Turbo/Supercharger?

We actually run a lot of factory 7/16 rods in big blocks 7500RPMs and under. A factory LS6 or LS7 is good to 7500RPMs, and 700HP conservitivly.
Whichever you choose, you won't need mega $$$ kryptonite strength at 7000RPMs, and 427s love to rev, lighter rotating assemblies will let it rev faster, so make it light and let it rev.

I agree!

To answer you question pertaining to H beam vs. I beam, typically the H-beams are stronger rods!
