Does anyone have any good recommendations for car rendering service. I really Like Carter Hickmans work but he is so busy with his new venture and other customers I am not sure he could get me in. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check out Mascoll Design's post here. He was running some specials which will give you some general ideas of cost. Shawn did a rendering of Dust Off a couple of years ago and I was very pleased with the results.

Not rude at all. The answer depends. Views, how many sketches does it take to get there, interior concept, how big of a hurry are you in, etc, etc.
Numbers can range anywhere from $300 to $1,500 or more. Obviously a simple color, graphics, and wheel job will be on the bottom end of the scale and a full on deal like Poteets torino that Brian did will be on the other end. I fell somewhere in the middle of that and feel it was worth every penny. It saved me from making mistakes that may not have hurt the car but certainly didn't help the car.

I used Jason Rushforth (www.jasonrushforth.com) for the rendering of Project Sabre, and was VERY pleased:

If you want to keep the budget small and are happy with a hand drawn rendering let me know. The pic in my sig below is one of my renderings.

While there are a lot of great artists out there, I would urge you to select one of the designers that is a sponsor on this site. There are a lot of guys here that pay to be sponsors, and put back into the hobby and help keep sites like this free for users.

that is a good point in some cases. but sometimes a person just doesn't like one or two person"s work and so they want more choices. just my 2 cents

My point was, if you are advertising that you offer renderings here and take money for it, you should support this board and this hobby by paying for a sponsorship (small price to pay to generate more sales). There are dozens of people on here that are sponsors that offer rendering services, and those should be the first that people approach.

I have used John McBride, Jason Rushforth, Ben Hermance, Carter Hickman and Brian at Problem Child at one time or another - and I wouldn't hesitate to use any of them again. There is also Murray Pfaff to consider as well.

sparky, that is a good point. unfortunately, most people had favorites before coming to this site. maybe we could start a section featuring only the site sponsoring rendering people? i would love to see their work and it would be a good spotlight for them to toot their horns!

There's another forum out there that has a section for renderings. They run a contest once in a while to encourage new artists. If it is only site sponsors though it might discourage guys that don't have the cash yet but do have the skills.
