I didn't get any response from LS1tech....

My engine has about 60 miles on it right now, still have break in oil in it. Going to the Dyno on Wednesday.

DO I run it with the RP break in oil or drain it for High Zinc conventional??

Thanks!

Joe Gibbs Driven has an awesome group of charts on the site showing what to use when. If you're using RP, they may have the same thing.

Do you need high zinc on a roller engine?

No, not required. I thought I would run the break in for extra precaution just to say I did what I could to make sure it was right.

I just didn't know if there was RPM or load limitations with break in oil. The guys on the power block TV always say "Next we drain the break in oil for some HPS RP for some pulls"

What is your oil pressure with the RP break-in oil? I know that the RP is very light, it's easy on parts for break-in, but if you are not showing good pressure at idle while hot, I'd consider a conventional with additive until the car has some miles on it, then switch back to RP synthetic.

The RP break in is conventional advertised as 10W-30 Visc.

I have 50 PSI cold and ~38 PSI Hot. Should I at least change the filter before the dyno runs? I just don't know what the "shedding" looks like in the oil at ~75 miles.

I would call the dyno shop. Surely this question has come up before.
