Hello everyone! How are y'all doin? I guess I'll introduce myself. My name is Benjy aka I_make_oil. As my user name implies I work in the oil industry. Currently I'm working in West Africa. I'm blessed by my job to have 6 months out the year off but I'm also cursed to be away for 6 months as well. Actually, I spend more than 6 months away but that's how it's suppose to work. I have more info in my profile on myself.
Currently I'm working on a 1966 Ford Mustang. I'm doing mine a bit different from a lot of others though. My car has a 200ci inline 6 and as of now I'm planning on leaving it in the car and seeing what I can get it to do. I've recently installed a split header with dual exhaust through 40 series flow masters, a webber 32/36 carb, DUI ignition cold air intake and a few other things I can't remember this minute. The change has been rather surprising actually, it has great torque and gets about 28MPG! So next I plan on installing a bigger worked over head, cam, t5 transmission, 8.8 rear end, front and rear disc, new suspension etc. to see how much I can get out of this engine while still maintaining street ability and good economy. Here are a few pictures of my car when I picked it up. I'm at work now will post up more when I get home. I guess later I'll start a tread and post more as I go along for those interested in this project.
