Logo software for dummies!

I have an Apple computer. I am not computer savvy at all. I want to play around with some simple logo designs and educate myself at the same time. I need something really simple.
Anyone have pasted experience here and can recommend a program to at least look at.

there is only one.. photoshop. made by adobe.

you dont need the latest version, so id look into CS2. should be a free download. enjoy
