Does anyone think powder coating coil springs would stiffen the spring when baking it .Took the front end apart on my 69camaro new bushings ball joints, etc had 1 inch dropped springs already for a couple years powdercoated now the cars sits 2inces to high seems odd to me .Gonna go out and loosen all the bolts on the ground but curious what anyone else thinks Thanks

I don't believe that powdercoating has anything to do with your issue.
Either you did not get the spring seated correctly in the upper control arm...
Or you tightened everything down when the car was up off the ground.

400 degree heat used to bake powder will weaken the spring. Lowering it, possibly making it brittle. I have read and talked to a lot of people about this. As I didn't want to buy new springs. But will he doing so anyway

Uhh, no... Look at any "ICE" or iron-carbon phase diagram, and you will see that nothing permanent happens to any kind of steel until you get above 1300F.

How would your brake rotors (or steel oven rack!) survive????

I agree. Check the inspection holes on the upper spring seat to make sure the coil is seated properly.
