Someone put the bullet style mirrors in chrome on my car - theyre old and worn and wont stay upright AND theyre mounted to the pedestals backwards so I cant see them through the A-Pillar. Id like to replace them but cant seem to find anything other than repro squares. Im not keen on the squares or the bullet style mirrors. Is there ANYTHING else? Im having a real hard time coming up with anything that would bolt on.

Thanks for your help (should you provide some).

I have seen a set of early 90's buick lesaber mirrors adapted to a chevelle. I though they looked good. There really are not many true bolt on options.

there is a thread going on about new mirrors, with the passenger side convex so you can see everything.

do a search, it should pop up, or just look through current posts, it is a current thread

If you dont like the bullet or the rectangle what are you looking for? More of a modern look?

I like the look of corvette c5 mirrors but www.visionhotrod.com has some nice mirrors too (519 742 9800). I just found out about them and they're local to me.

Yes I suppose I was going for a modern look. I was thinking the round ones would look better than the square ones but I cant seem to find the round ones that would fit my year.

Theres a black camaro on here with some really awesome looking billet mirrors on it - cant seem to find it right now.

Guess I cant find much of anything right now lol.

These would be AWESOME. I think the mirrors on my car are 2nd gen chrome bullets. Theyre on backwards - what I mean by that is the long part of the bracket is on the door backwards so the mirror sits more towards the hood than the trunk - this makes the passenger mirror completely useless. The A - pillar completely blocks it off. So, my thoughts, are since I believe these chrome bullets are from a second gen F-body that I could any mirror from a second gen f-body and they would mount.

AND frankly - I dont mind drilling new holes as long as the old holes will be covered up by the base on the new mirrors.

I used 2000 Mazda Miata Mirrors on my 71 and bolted in the stock location. The base only needed minor shaping with sanding. They fit on the car like they belong and rear vision is vastly improved
