I have been having issues with my 69 Camaro LT1 swap overheating the fuel on long drives. The engine will cut out upon deceleration or at idle after a long highway run - air bubbles or cavitation? I am running the stock tank and pickup with an external Walbro 255 inline pump with the return line from the rail. The setup has worked well so far for short trips, but gave me fits on last years Power Tour.

I really want to get this taken care of before this year's Power Tour.

I had thought about running a fuel cooler, but I haven't really heard any feedback that they help much. I was told that a fuel pump controller might solve the issue. Does anyone have any experience with one of these?

This Aeromotive unit varies the power to the pump via the RPM tach signal:

This unit varies the power to the pump via the MAP sensor signal:

Which type would be best for my setup or should I look at other options? I really like the idea of saving $200 if the MAP type model would serve the same purpose.

Thanks in Advance,
Dustin
