I know all the drama with DriverzInc. and New Gen but I really liked the design he had for the "Lite" wheels. Are there any other wheels out there similar to these? I know Forgeline makes a somewhat similar set but they are super pricey. Looking for 18"s on my 68 Camaro. Just curious if you guys know.

Team III has a Minilite that might tickle your fancy and they are available in 18". The prices are not too bad, either:

I know I will get blasted for saying this but I would buy a set of New Gens from Jon in a minute. I love my Lites and I don't know of one New Gen order that failed to be filled when all that stuff went down. He still makes wheels and can make you a set too.

On a side note, those Rushforth copies look like Chevy Silverado wheels. There is no compromise if you are after the best "mini-lite" style in big dia. and 3 pc.

Thanks for your honesty go-fish! I actually purchased several things from him in the past and never had any issues.

I will second the Team III wheels, for me they are the best 18" Minilite style wheel, right shape, right finish.....and I got all 4 wheels for the price of one of the boutique wheels.

Maybe Jon of NewScam will cut you a deal if you mention he still has $2000 of mine. I would seriously take your business to someone without a shady past. I went with Rushforth spiders and really like them a lot!

Your car would have to have a couple of modifications to run these such as an aftermarket front clip and minitubs.

these are the only wheels Jon made in the stepped lips.. 1 of 1 set.

Yeah, I noticed you have some large footprints with those but I am planning on doing a minitub soon. I also wonder if I could get them re-hooped?

You can get them re hooped by a number of sources in the So Cal area. If you need to know the place I can find out who it was I talked to. Can't remember off the top of my head. I have no idea the cost it would be though.

By the hoops and do it yourself. Check out http://www.americanrim.com/ for rim shells

I'd be curious what hoop pricing is...

I was told they should be about $160 to $200 per shell for 3 piece halfs. American Rim also makes 2 piece shells.

Oh, awesome price on the Team3 rims, thanks for the link!

What's the typical back-spacing for an 18" rim with the stock subframe/no mini tub on a 68 camaro?
