got some test tires and was wondering where I can get a hold of the "wheel fit" tool, price? or if anyone rents it etc? any help is appreciated i'm in Northern Ca SF bay area.

I made one once from a 2x4. Pretty simple really and you use it just like the proper tool. I cut out an area for the hub and the studs then screwed 2 horizontal pieces to it that fit snugly into the tire. It worked great, especially for the price

I may consider making my own , but I want to make sure like the wheel fit tool. I can take the same size tire and simulate it on different width rims.

You can always notch the 2x4 to the various rim widths
