Doing research and since I am a neophyte to the world of car audio I need some help. I want to integrate an iPad mini into my '68 Ford Bronco without purchasing a head unit and going straight to an amp. So, would someone please give me a complete list starting with an iStreamer or something similar, through the speakers of what I need in order to pull this off. I also want to use some kind of motorized system to open and close the dash interface to remove the iPad.

Thanks in advance,
Scott

Just a few threads below...

However, I am not sure what kind of audio output plugs are available to be used with the new lightning connector. Last time I looked, I could not find anything.

Im using an iSimple IS76 to plug into my phone, JL Audio CL-RLC Pre-amp/volume control, Kicker PX100.2 Amp and a set of Infinity component speakers

Don't discount going towards a Nexus 7. You have much more openess and a cheaper platform with Android. I have dropped iOS after being a big Apple fan and have no regrets.

Check out this link for a cool install...

You can even use car "dashboard" apps in android that give you a lot of cool features - check out this one:
