I need some higher help on this problem, I just rotated this tank around the 3D Orbit and when I stopped all of these lines appeared on the side of the tank as if it were moved. I cannot get them to go away and I do NOT want to have to draw this all over again. I tried to select them to trim or modify them at all and they will not even select. I have tried different axis and orbits to get try to select them and I cant get any thing. Any help you can give is much appreciated!

Sorry I use CATIA. Can you save it as an IGS? or STEP? If so I could play with it and send it back.

Are you sure it's not a phantom from your video card. How old is your machine and what version are you using?

Agreed they might be phantoms,
Try zooming in closer to see if they go away. If not, then assuming you've not gotten out of the drawing, do an "undo" back until they go away.
If you've already saved and exited, then try restoring an older version of the file or the backup file.

Have you tried doing a regen on the drawing? That usually takes care of any phantom problems.

Its autocad 2012, so I shut my computer down and restarted it. When I opened up the drawing the lines were all gone. THANK GOD! I also opened the file in inventor fusion 12 and they lines were gone. This computer is only a 2 years old but has been updated since new. Any suggestions on how to post the DWG/DXF files on this site so anyone can open them? Bryce I tried to convert it but all it seems I can convert it to is other Autocad formats.

+1 on the re-draw. I used to use that a lot when drawing in AutoCAD. You should use Pro/E (now known as Creo Elements Pro) ;-) I get paid to say that

Ill do the re-draw next time. Creo Elements Pro?....I googled it, and looked at the images. That looks like its way out of my league. I took a basic Cad class for my motorsports degree almost 10 years ago and I had to figure the rest out. There was about a six-seven year break from the last time I used it before this past year, but everything is learned. I wish I had the time to learn another program, if I do I am going to look into solidworx

I am glad you got it figured out.

DXF are flat patterns, Create a DWG and save as a DXF. I think you can attach any type of file on pt.com; just go to advanced post and manage attachments.

Camaro1968, do you work for PTC? I have been using Pro/E, Creo Elements Pro, Creo Parametric, or what ever they call it this week, since 1997.

Yep! Sorry for the late reply, I don't get on the board much since I'm out of the country a lot lately for work :-/
