I'm looking for a good used set or partial set of the original Corvette ZR1 wheels. I want the high offset (50 and 58mm) style so I can use spacers to position the wheels in the well correctly. Please no bent wheels. Non-OEM and finish problems that can be sanded and painted are ok. Please PM me what you have and what you're looking to get for them price wise.

Hey Geoff- When I was searching wheels I found a couple websites that did factory style wheels. I really like the black ZR1 style wheels, didn't end up getting them because I didn't want to run the fat spacers. They were only about $450 a couple years ago for the set of 17x9.5 and 17x11s, painted silver or with black centers. I read the reviews and everyone said they drove smoothly, no issues. You might try a google on Corvette 17" replica wheels... Another thing I found in research was that these wheels in these widths came in 2 different offsets. The ones for the ZR1 from the early 90's have less backspacing than the same wheels set up for the late 90s model Camaros and Vettes. I found that the 17x9.5 and 17x11 can be purchased in both backspacing configurations.

Here's one I looked up real quick. Can't beat that for brand new wheels. http://www.oewheelsllc.com/Wheels_3/Wheels-for-Corvette_4/Corvette-ZR1-Wheels-silver

Go to their home page and you can look up replica wheels by vehicle, including Corvette 18's at decent prices. Do some searching and you may find them cheaper, another site or on ebay etc.

Thanks Ben. I've got that site bookmarked already. I may end up ordering from them. I just thought I'd see what was available used first to see if I can save any additional money.

Geoff something to keep in mind, the replicas are not as strong as the OE wheels. I have seen and heard of a lot of failures with those in a race application. Now for just street or spirited driving they should be fine. Also the OE Speedline wheels will usually go for more used then you can buy the replicas for. Just something to keep in mind!

I see many on craigslist. I just picked up a set of C5 wheels with almost new Kumho's for $400.

I'd really appreciate it if someone sees a full set of OE wheels for a good price to let me know. I know the aftermarket wheels are sometimes not as good. I had hoped to catch AFS with them but they only have chrome and black. I know AFS is good because a friend of mine had a set years ago and had them tested somehow or another (he was in engineering school at the time) and confirmed they were good solid castings. While not as good as OE ZR1 wheels (they were heavier) they were still very nice and had an excellent finish.

I got the wagon wheels which are everywhere and cheap. I'll keep an eye out for the 5 spoke ones.

Which ones are the "Wagon Wheels?"

I have a set off my 1995 ZR-1. They are the GM wheels, not knock offs which Nitto tires. I can try and get some pictures for you.

What part of the country are you in? I'm just North of Atlanta GA.

Yes, this is my first post, but search 96LT4 over on the Corvette Forum....I've been there a LONG time. I'm selling off the other toys to hopefully build a 69 Camaro convertible.

Not the prettiest but I get GM wheels in 17x8.5, 18x9.5 with good tires. These were given a crappy paint job but it goes well with my BelAir for now so I can concentrate on other needs.

Ah...gotcha! Thanks for posting a picture. I'm not a fan of those. I've always liked the ZR1 style even though they are starting to look dated.

I have the 5 spoke non wagon C5, they're not as cool as C6 or ZR1's but I love the style... I need to sell them so I can get something with the correct offset/backspacing. I'm flex on the price, especially if you're in Georgia.

You will want the grandsport wheels. They are the ones that are 17x11 with the 50mm offset you are looking for. A factory ZR1 will have the 36mm offset. the best place to look is on the Corvette forum. I bought two original ZR1 17x11 from a friend and then found my two collectors edition 17x8.5's on the vette forum for my 69

Thanks - the guy who posted above with the ZR1 wheels hasn't written me back. I'm very specific on the sizes I need because of my tire size needs and budget. I'm probably going to end up buying new OE brand wheels if I can't find a set of comparably priced originals.

I have bought from O.E. wheels twice and haven't had any issues and I would buy from them again
