67 Camaro -Front wheel fitment help w/ tru-turn

Ok..here is therundown. I have a 67 camaro with stock sub and am running stock lower and uppercontrol arms at the moment but plan to upgrade to ridetechs upper and lowers inthe near future. I already have their muscle bar and just ordered the completetru-turn kit. Awhile back I bought Mr. Rupps set of forgeline wheels knowingthey would take some work to get to fit. I had my rear end narrowed to fit therears and now its time to work on the fronts. Here is what I know. The frontsare 18 x 9.5 and when measuring the backspacing I come up with something around7 1/4". I also know that with the wilwood brake kit I have they add about.18 (3/16) to each side from the stock hub. Now with that being said I haveread till my eyes have bleed that most guys running the tru-turn set up on a67-68 are running anywhere from a 18x9 to 18x10 with a 275 tire. They arerunning about 5.75" of backspace and some metal work may be required tothe fender/wheel well areas. I’m ok with some clearance work / tweeking to geteverything to fit correct. I will run a 275 tire when I find a decent set ofkdw's for sale used. With all that being said I know I have to get thebackspacing correct in order for everything to fit correct. Without thetru-turn on I did a dry fit last night and felt like the wheels wouldn't workno matter what I do. When bolted up to the car as is I felt that the wheel wasa little less than flush with the fender lip. I put about 3/4" of spacerson the hub to pull the wheel out a bit but feel like the wheel it just aboutflush with the fender. If I follow what is recommended I will need 1.5"spacer or to get new barrels and lips to change the backspacing. I’d rather geta cheap 50-100$ spacer first just to make sure everything clears and worksbefore dropping over 600 on new lips/barrels. I feel like if I bring the wheelout 1.5" the actual wheel lip will be outside of the fender completely.Looking for some opinions on all of this. Thanks, Steven
