I have this plan for my mini tubbed 69 camaro. 315/30r20 on the rear and 265/30r19 on the front. This gives me a 27.44 inch tall tire on the rear and a 25.26 inch tall on the front. Sidewalls work out to 94.5mm rear and 79.5mm front. I would rather have a 35 series tire on the front but can't find one brand that sells what I need. I know everyone seems to put 335mm tires on the backs of these things, but I want (no, NEED) to lower this thing to the point where the top of the rim is level with the fender lip. I haven't welded my tubs in yet so I could do more grinding, but the cardboard mock tire I made (335/30r20) is leading me to believe that narrower is better if you wanna lower it. Anyone at all have any thoughts on this plan? See any problems or pitfalls? Is this rear tire still too tall? I need advice bad. Oh yeah, that rear tire would be on an 11 inch wheel.
