Not ready for a build thread yet so I am posting in here. Donor is coming apart so I can build the motor and trans. LS1 out of a 98 Z28 and I'm going to use the brakes and everything else I can. Twin turbo and I am going to redo the suspension. 4 link the rear. It's got a 9" in it now so that will be good to go. I will run the auto out of the Z for now.

Marc the 67 is a color I mixed. If you look at an 87 Porsche Venetian blue its pretty close.
I found the truck in a barn in South Carolina. I redid it in A kinda rat theme with a 355 and the Muncie out of my 67. To be honest it would have been fine but the motor ate a few lifters. I picked up another small block and it too had issues so I just said the hell with it and bought the Z28. I will redo some of the suspension, the front is Mustang II. Hoping Kore or somebody makes brackets so I can use the Camaro brakes. I plan on running eBay turbos, nothing crazy, more wow factor than real performance. I have been following these guys that run junkyard motors and Chinese turbos till they die, and guess what? Its hard to kill an LS1. My dad likes to drive the truck so I am going to run the 4L60 with a little work in it.

The original build of the truck was very unexciting for this site, just the normal tweaks to get it safe and fun. Now that the 67 is close to done and the 12 has boost I can spend some more time on this ole gal.

Well, as luck would have it the motor has a crack where the head bolt goes. I'm guessing dimmy dim-wit didn't remove all the water at some point. Probably can be fixed but we will have to see.

I picked up another 80k mile LS1 for $375 that came with the Painless engine swap harness, no cracks in that one. Harness is like $800 alone so I feel I got a deal. I don't think I can use it with my 98 ECM but its probably worth it to go get a 99 one because the harness is so much easier than using the factory one.

that is one heck of a price for what you got, considering the harness!
