Somebody asked on the other forum but still not sure on the answer. For us non GM/Camaro owners... Exactly what is it that these are covering up. a photo would be great.

Hey Chris,

There is a picture right above of it installed. These covers go over the hole in the firewall that give you access to the cage nuts. Which are the nuts used to bolt the front sub-frame down. These covers are a good looking machined pieces to clean it up a little.

I am also attaching a picture of a car we have in the yard without any covers on them..

Sorry if I didn't see it or read thoroughly enough, but do you offer anything for Chevelles? 1972, to be specific.

Sorry, nothing yet. We have three Chevelles in the fabrication stage of the build going on right now in the shop, we should realisticly have some items ready for them in the next 2-3 months

B,
On my firewall there is an outward(toward the engine comp) lip that surrounds the opening of the heater unit. Does that have to be knocked down flat for the new cover to fit flat against the firewall?

Brian - JCG
09-19-2013, 06:21 AM
You are correct. That lip needs to be ground flush to allow the covers to sit flush on the firewall..

To all who have purchased these, I would like to see some installed photos. I do sometimes get one from time to time in my e-mail, but not as many as I would like. So please if you have a moment post your pic or e-mail me them.

Thank you

Are these covers supposed to come with hardware, in particular the black?

Brian - JCG
06-26-2014, 06:36 AM
No sir, hardware is not included with these. These are not a direct bolt on item. There is some fabrication that needs to be done and it can be mounted with different methods, so it is left up to the customer to decide how to finish it to tie into their specific build. If you would like to know how we install them I would be happy to share that information.

Wish I would have seen this before buying them. Nice product though. Guess I will have a set for sale

I know this an old thread but was wondering if you are still making these body mount covers. Your web site doesn't show any products, maybe it's broke. I was wondering if it's possible to machine a groove in the back to accommodate the lip so grinding on the finished firewall would not be necessary. Of course, I would need to get the grooving done myself but was wondering if your plates are thick enough at the groove location to accommodate this process. Hope this makes sense.
