I have never been to New Orleans but have always wanted to spend some time there. I have the fortune to be there for a few days soon and I am trying to get there a little early so I will have a Sunday and Sunday night in mid January to take it in.

Where should I go? What should I see?

I'm thinking some local food and live music in the French Quarter?

Well as I'm a California guy moved to the south. You go to Nola to eat and drink. Not know where you are staying? Or what you like... But there are a few key good places to eat. Kpauls is awesome as all the emeril's spots our favorite is called NOLA also you got acme oyster house...there is a lot of cool stuff. I know there is a world of wheels show sometime as well as lots of music. House of blues is always fun. Feel free to give me a call. 601-672-8830

Cafe du Monde for beignets. I have had great success by randomly selecting a place to eat Cajun fare, but getting a few recommendations from locals is your best bet. It is a great food town.
