I'm basically ready to drop the car on its own weight again but I need to bolt up the inner fenders. It seems somehow I've lost basically half of them during the year or so that it's been on jack stands. So I need to get new ones, but I also wanted to make them allen head bolts for more tire clearance. What thread size are they, how long, etc, and does anybody know where to get them? I checked Classic Industries and they don't have them.

Thanks guys. :)

Matt

What car, the Nova? I used McMaster -Carr pn 98164A267 5/16-18 button head allen cap screws on my 68 Camaro fender liners.

Yeah, sorry. Was kind of in a rush and forgot to say it was for the Nova. I put that number in the McMaster Carr website and it says they're 3/4" bolts. That seems kind of long for inner fender bolts, but I could be wrong. I haven't seen those bolts in a while lol. Looks like they definitely have the best price, though. Thanks!

Matt,

I purchased these from Ebay:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/REAR-END-COVER-CHROME-5-16-18-X-3-4-BUTTON-HEAD-BOLTS-/160508737490?pt=Vintage_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessorie s&hash=item255f10f7d2&vxp=mtr

Chrome finish looks good if you are planning on running the wheel opening moldings.

Long bolts are sometimes nice to get everything fitted, then switch them out for shorties 1-by-1 when they are in place.

If you're after factory correct fasteners, I highly recommend AMK Products (http://www.amkproducts.com/GM_Fastener_Kits.asp). They have about every fastener that you can think of.

True, I'm just afraid I'll have to roll the fenders. If I do, I'm going to want the shortest bolts available for the inner fenders. I'll find that out this weekend, I guess...
