I've been buying my cut off wheels, flap disks, grinding disks at my local Harbor Freight store. They have the best price I've found locally.

Cutoff wheels check on ebay..... I usually get packages of norton norzip pretty cheap and they last a long time. Im not a harbor freight fan for consumables like that. Same thing for grinding disks norton!. I may pay two or three times what harbor freight charges for their ginding disk but it lasts 5 times as long, and cuts faster. Grinders, dont waaste your cash with the 9.99 HF special. Spend the cash and look at metabo, they are expensive but I have been using the same metabo grinder for 8 years, thats 2 welding schools underwater welding school, and structural steel work included. The power they make helps alot, and they have torque sensative motors so they dont burnout when you get a wheel stuck. The one metabo grinder was a gift from a guy, its from the 90's and still kicks ass. Mig, go with .023 ER70s2 wire, and 75/25 mix or 92/8 mix gas.

You will get much better life out of cut off wheels if you stick with Metabo or Pferd brands. Can't get them at Home Depot though.
Good luck
