I already sent a note to Rick's, so I'm hopeful that I'll get a reply next week, but also thought that I would ask these questions here:

1. The tank came with stainless steel straps and a hardware packet, but the packet did not include the sheet metal screws that look like they are supposed to be used on the "hook" end of the strap. Of course, if I had bothered to spend 5 minutes online, looking at the hardware kit from Classic Industries, or 1 minute to scan the Assembly manual that I have, I would have known that there were supposed to be screws installed in those holes.... :-( But I didn't, so now the tank will come out again....
2. There was no anti-squeak material provided at all, so I'm not sure if I need THAT kit, too. Looks like there are a couple of pieces that go between the top of the tank and the trunk floor, as well as between the straps and the tank? Does anyone know if these are recommended for the Rick's tank installation, too?

Thanks.

The straps should be used between the straps and the tank. You don't want them wearing on each other with vibration and slight movement.

what ive notice someone do before was put heat shrink wrap on the straps. Makes the straps quite and look good

Yes, on these F-bodies I have noticed that there is an anti-squeak material sandwiched between the tank and the trunk floor, However on my 2nd gen there is nothing from the factory on the straps themselves where they contacts the tank.

Bottom line is Rick's tanks do not come with this material. I have seen Rick's tank installed on many vehicles, and never saw an additional material on the straps. I however did put "Peel n Seal" between the tank and the floor to prevent vibration.
