rpm matching for cam and intake?

ok so Im planning adding a performer rpm intake and a 650cfm edelbrock carb on to my olds 350. It has a ol4b eddy intake on it already with a 600 cfm carb eddy as well but I want to increase the power this thing puts out. so my question is with the rpm intake it says its good for power from 1,500-6,500 and the cam I want to install is a 275DEH @ Duration 275/282, Lift .476/.508, good for power from 1,500-5,800. so what Im wondering if this set up will work together. the trans is a th350 with a stage 2 shift kit not sure of the torque converter. the rear gears are the stock 3.08, and it has an MSD 6al ignition box but only has a points dizzy for now. I really would like to make this think a torque monster that's why I'm staying with a 650 carb instead of going 750. any help with helping me out on this combo would be great. thanks

that should work fine, the stock converter should work with that setup as well, but you'd benifit from a little more stall speed. what you'll need to worry about are your springs and clearences. i can't remember all the specifics off hand at the moment but i think you may have some problems with .508 lift on a stock head.

IMO, you would be better off loosing the 3.08 ring and pinion and switching to say a 3.55 or 3.73 if you really want to wake up the performance.

ya as far as the valve springs come with the cam kit im looking at. as far as the rear gears I have full intentions of changing them out I was thinking about going with 3.42s just to keep a little highway driving if needed. as far as the head clearance if I remember right the stock rocker arms are 1.6.
