69 Camaro carpet with modified trans tunnel

Hey everyone. Wanted to find out what everyone is using for carpet in a 69 Camaro with a modified trans tunnel.

I did a T-56 Magnum in mine and had to raise the tunnel 1.5 inches or so. Pic is attached.

Just called ACC and the woman said their carpets are molded to the original floor and are tight so it would nto fit with the tunnel raised...

I thought I had read before that carpets were still fitting OK after doing the tunnel mods...

I plan on eventually doing a center console which will hide whatever is going on around the shifter/tunnel/etc. also...

if it solves your trouble just cut around the mod and cover it with the console

or--they sell backless carpet that stretches...dont know if it is available in loop though if you're going that route...

I was thinking that I could cut it and cover with the console.

Just hoping I can find a carpet that isn't too far off to begin with.

Would be great to find out if people are having good luck with one brand or another...
