A-Body 1966 GTO ( PLEASE HELP WITH WHEEL INFORMATION ) 20x10 Rear / 19X8 Front

Hi Guys,

I need to know what size wheels will work in a 1966 GTO A- BODY car ... I really want to go with a 20x10 rear and 19X8 in front does anyone know or know off anyone with information.

Running wilwood 6 piston up front, and 4 piston in rear, also hotkis suspension all around. Looking to drop the car perhaps 1 inch as well.

Any thing would be grateful as I am looking to order wheels within the week, and start taking measurements,

Rob, I'm running a 10 rear wheel on my 64 Tempest with minor lip trimming and a 5.5" BS. And 8s up front with a 4.5" BS. 17" wheels with 285/40 rear tires and 245/40 fronts. I believe you have more clearance in the back than my 64 but up front the lower wheel well opening turns in on itself on the 66. Not sure how big of a problem that may be. Someone with a 66/67 will chime in with better info hopefully.

Cheers Mike for that !!!!! I hope so to any one with a 66/67 please feel free I do not want to order expensive wheels and then have huge issues going forward, to make wheels it takes 25 days as well, so its get all info, do some measure and order by next week.

Crap, Robbie, I missed your calls, sorry.....Im up in the hills and I get crappy cell reception, and work is crazy, I work at playstation and its our hella busy season... What do you need. I ordered 19x8/20x10 from Rushforth.. They are great. I dont know the BS, and the car is at paint.. Im running the wilwoods also, 6 piston 13 inch front, 4piston rear..

Hi Kevin - Mate really sorry for the bother, you ve been brilliant in help, I do not want to make a mistake in ordering wheels, now I am in the process of ordering wheels, and yes its the back spacing I really need, I am ordering 20x10 and 19x8 as well, but the backspacing is the issues.

1. Is your car lowered at all ?? and if so how much ?
2. Can you please tell me what tire size you are running ?
3. Is the ride quality really hard and bad ?
4. Can you find out what the back spacing is at all ?

5. When is playstation 4 coming out ?

Here are the answers :)

1. Car is lowered.. about 2 inches
2. Im running 245.35.19 front and 285.30.20 rear
3. The ride quality isnt bad, but I like how tight the car feels
4. I would call rushforth, Jason knows the A bodies VERY well..Once I get the car back from paint(3 weeks) I could help you than..
