braided line size

I have tried to find information on this and not just I used this or that. Is there a reason to use -4an or -3an line for the frame to caliper?

I'm looking to order some aeroquip line with a gift cert I have.

-03 hoses are standard for most automotive applications and will swell less under pressure than -04's, making them the easy choice.
