Guys,
Sorry it's taken so long to get this up. We'll have a complete photo gallery of most everything I shot coming soon as well as a separate piece. For now, here is the coverage. We had a great time there at the event this year as usual. Hope to see you guys there at Run To The Coast in February! Special thanks to Yancy Johns, Brian Finch and Bill Howell for all of their hard work too. Thanks guys!

Nice write up and pictures! I even made it into one lol. I love the speed shots.
What kind of camera setup were you using? Looked like a filter was used too?

RC, thanks! I'm using a Canon 60D with a traditional 18-135mm lens. However, most of the long shots were taken with the same camera but using the Canon 100-400 lens. This lens creates great depth of field. As far as filters, some of the images I ran through editing software, just to touch them up a bit and give them some more pop. I use Lightroom3 for a Mac. Hope this helps!

Cool, thanks for the info. I have been looking at almost the same setup. I am a big Canon fan. I'll probably wait till sometime next year to buy a setup though, have some car parts I want first lol. I should be running the autocross timing again, so I might ask you some questions in feb at RTTC if you make it out. Every one of the 60D's I have come across at the stores doesn't have a battery and no one seem to be able to find one.....

Yeah, no problem. Ask away, haha! Really, no battery? I waited until the 60D came on sale at Best Buy and snatched it up. It came with a battery. Seems odd that it wouldn't. I've been very impressed with the 60D. Even the video comes out really good since it's able to capture it in 1080HD. Here's a clip of my S4 on the dyno. Overall, the video is boring but you can get a sense for the quality. Either way, I think bang for the buck, the 60D is pretty solid.

Yep, no battery in their display models, or at least none that have been charged. Pretty lame..... lol Clear video and clean car!
