names jason and im from oregon. Im here because im currently building my 68 pontiac firebird. its an orignal 250 ohc with a powerglide. im keeping the powerglide for now but beefing it up since i got my hands on a 68 400 block with #15 heads from a grand prix. the car is currently being ripped apart so we can get rid of the rust and the bock is at the machine shop getting main studs put in and bbc rocker studs for the heads. should be fun with a 4.25 stroke and 6.8 c-c eagle rods and lunati top end. well thats my bird but im going to posting the build so yeah drop a line and thanks for having me.

Welcome! My initial reaction was that one's rough, but then I quickly thought isn't it nice that at least you found a decent foundation for you to build upon. I cringe thinking about the day when muscle cars become like steel bodied 32 Fords, rare to find and very pricey. Good luck and keep us posted!

Looks like a good project I am in the Jefferson area and started a 69 camaro restomod pro touring have most the body work done but adding some ground effects and so on. Using an ls1 for motor. Have fun with that and keep your eye on the prize.

thanks everyone and surfwagon where you at in cali? i lived in petaluma for a bit and there is a ton of fun roads out there and as the for the motor i chose to keep it powered by a pontiac. i could of threw a chevy in it but i take pride in using the poncho i see a lot of birds powered by chevys but one thing is for sure a poncho is def not like a chevy. ive learned alot from this build lol well so far..... :P
