Its been a while since my last post and I found what looks like an 8.8 ford IRS rear end in solidworks but my autocad inventor wont open it. I downloaded a solidworks viewer and its perfect. I want to be able to illustrate the brackets/idea to a fab shop since I dont want to take forever doing it myself.
In the zip file, its the stlprt and a jpg of the drawing. Appreciate the help,
clint

p.s. its for my 2000 BMW. Wraping up the 5.7 ls1 4l60e swap and wanted a decent rear end with posi :)

What formats will Autocad open?

maybe the autocad (inventor) equivelant to the stlprt is the .ipt extension . Others that it has is IGES, STL. Ill try anything to see if it will import.
thanks,

I could only open it as a read only SW file. I saved it as an IGES. I can't upload this file type. PM me.
