I can get same trans as this for $250.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2004R-200R4-...-/350371423466 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/2004R-200R4-Transmission-Stage-1-Competition-/350371423466)

The issue is that the seller says it shifts hard, noices and he think there is problems with the input shaft due to to much clearance. This trans is used for 1000 miles or so.

I also have a trans from a 90's Caprice with 307with low miles. Here in Norway these are hard to find so I think this might be a good deal. Seller also have a Hughes converter with 2400 stall for sale.

I have a rebuilt th400 with extra clutches, shift kit with a rebuilt modified 10" Vega converter that I can sell. Engine will be about 370-400hp range.

Any thoughts ?

Hi Olav,
You know better then I as to what the trans is worth on your side of the pond. You know it will have to be opened up and checked out before you use it just to be safe... A stock 200r4 will propably not live long behind a motor with any torque. You know the drill.... As far as the converter goes I have no idea what your combination is for cam, induction and rear gears so there is no way for me to say if a 2400 stall will work for you.
