The LT1 engine I am using in my 65 chev Impala project is out of a 96 Camaro. The original radiator has a 3/4" hose fitting on the bottom driver's side. I am looking to get an aftermarket replacement radiator, but the cheaper universal radiators dont have this fitting. Do I need to add this fitting to the universal radiator or is there another option as far as rerouting hoses...etc....?

What do you need this fitting for?

That's what I want to know.....the stock radiator has this fitting and it goes to the waterpump. Some kind of bypass or something. Aftermarket universal (cheap) radiators dont have it.

Oh gotcha now. I think maybe a lot of the "aftermarket" general fit ones have that. Mine had that for an 84 Monte SS, but there was nothing on the car that needed it. I am using it as the return for the steam lines from the back of the heads. Instead of running them through the throttle body & into the waterpump I bought a 93 steam line that goes to the radiator.
