Hey Guys, I just checked out this site after hearing about it years ago. I am starting a '73 Vega project. This will be my first car meant to be a driver. Everthing I have ever had seemed to get out of hand on a street / strip bender until it was about undrivable. Sound framiliar?
So I really want this to be a driver. I have been driving it bone stock for three years as it runs and drives perfect. Been grinning like a kid in a go-cart too. Cant wait for more power and suspension. I took it apart last month to wield up a S10 Blazer 8.6 rear axle. They are the exact same width. H-Body forums say to use S10 ball joints, spindles, and brakes- so that is where I am at. I have the rear in and the front half done. I am looking for options on rear brakes which is what brought me here. I have about 2 3/8 inch from the rotor to the "frame". Dont you just love a challenge?
Plans are for a LS motor and T56. The stock GT suspension with the larger S10 brakes should be a blast.
