Don't know if this helps or if you knew, but a T56 fits in a large Rubbermaid storage container and is light enough to ship via regular UPS. It falls right under the 150 lbs weight limit so you don't have to mess with truck freight should you find a buyer that would like to pay for shipping. Check out Tick Performance's site for instructions on how to properly pack a T56 using this method.

How does this work/fit in 69 camaro with the shifter position being where it is?? anyone? i'm looking for a t56

Not sure exactly how that would work in stock form, I know that many people swap out the tail assembly for either 4th gen fbody or viper tail. Which I am pretty sure requires you to replace the input shaft.

You have to change the extension housing & output shaft or you can run a two piece driveshaft with a center slip joint.
