Haven't seen it yet.
On the Ford website, the EcoBoost is $1095 more as an option than the 5.0 for an F-150

How do you control the engine, it does not mention including a computer/control pack?

I will have to look into this option for my volvo P1800 project. Anyone know the dimensions of the EcoBoost engines? I am wondering if it would be smaller or larger than an LS. Mostly concerned about the width.

I think they are a cool mill and have lots of potential but I cannot wrap my head around how terrible they sound. Especially with a high flow exhaust.:barf:

I've seen early '60s Volvos with Gm's pushrod 60* V6. They are very compact, look right at home and are available in displacements up to 3.9L (237 ci.). A few of them have been stroked to 250 ci.

I guess I have never paid attention to these engines winding up. I test drove a new Explorer Sport and like the power. What I didn't like was the torque steer of the chassis. Can't believe Ford would sell a vehicle that was like that today. The engine was smooth and had plenty of power though.

My thoughts exactly. I test drove one a couple of weeks back, I really wanted to love it for consideration as the new family hauler. In the end I hated it, it wallows around corners yet has a very stiff ride, the power is nice but the torque steer is terrible. I do however love this engine, and enjoyed it in the F150 I test drove. The Explorer just feels like a large powerful minivan, not a performance SUV (i.e. X5, Cayenne or Jeep SRT)

I ended up getting an Audi Q7 S-line. Not quite as fast as the Explorer but feels very planted to the ground. IIRC it is built on the same platform as the Cayenne but has a 3rd row seat that I need.
