My 14 year old son, Roman, is as anxious as we were to get his driving license, but unfortunately he has to wait till next July. I'd like to have him not only ready to drive at that point, but also be able to handle a car on an autocross. We went for a fun ride yesterday in Pumkinator through the neighborhood and he asked me to video it for his friends. I'm glad I filmed it, I love seeing his face as we were moving along...

Here's his car, a 73 Nova Hatchback. The goal is to make it look "stock" with a lot of hidden upgrades, like a warmed over 406 small block disguised as a 245 hp 350 (Z28 motor for '73), 12" disc brakes all around, and some suspension upgrades to make it handle well. We've started on the car this past week and will hopefully see some driving time by next spring/ summer. He's going to start his own build thread on the forum this next week.

And here's a rendering I did of where we're headed with it. I really like orange and a big reason I love this car is because it was an original "Medium Orange Metallic" stick shift with bucket seats car. It'll be a great father/ son project for us, and he's named it "Tangermean"...
