I received my first copy of the book a couple of days ago. :jump: :woot:
I didn't want to post anything until I had an actual copy in my hands.
It's one of 10 pulled from the print run of books. I got one. A couple go to the Library Of Congress in Washington D.C. The remaining 7 copies get sent to dignitaries in the industry.
The rest of the books will be available to the public in about 4 weeks. Amazon, Barnes&Noble, and hunderds of other books stores will be selling them soon. RaceHome.com will also be selling signed and numbered copies if anyone here is interested.
I also wanted to extend my thanks to everyone here that helped make it come together. You guys ROCK! :firefire:
Thanks for reading,
Tony Huntimer~
OH, and thanks for buying the GM Pro-Touring book. My publisher is currently reprinting the book since you purchased all the books they had printed the first time. I still have a few of the 300 signed and numbered copies of the GM Pro-Touring book left.

Way to go Tony! Funny thing, I did a search on Amazon today to see if it was listed yet.
Can't wait to get a signed copy myself! Just tell me where to send the money.
A book like this is long over due for Ford folks.

It must be near 6 months I've been waiting for this book... that's almost as bad as waiting for the new Harry Potter book. I'll go pre-order mine now, just like I did for the HP book.

Thanks guys!
I will have my copies in about 3 to 4 weeks... If they don't get tied up on their way to the US shores. Either way, I'll have them in a few weeks.
If you can't wait and want to reserve a specific number between 15 and 300... (like #69) you can send me a check using the GM Book PDF information (until I create the new Ford Book PDF) with a note that you want a Ford Book. List more than prefered number in case someone beats you too it.
I can't legally take PayPal payments for the Ford Book until I physically have the product in my hands, so any payments for the Ford Book that come through PayPal can't be accepted...for a few more weeks.
Thanks,
Tony Huntimer~

Tony, I'm curious about the name. Is it a Restomod book (as your avatar suggests) or a Pro-Touring/Restomod book as you've stated today? What was the reasoning behind including a secondary build style in this book? If you could do it again, would you have made the GM book a Restomod/Pro-Touring book?

I've seen your GM book on a rack at Autozone once but never had a chance to see what was in it. I know it's been discussed on this board numerous times, what all do the books cover? I'd probably be interested in #70 if it's still available. Please PM me with your contact info.
Congrats Tony!,
Now you need to change your signature picture. RestoMod Now Available.

I do believe it is in the October Speed Reading that is about to hit the news stands..

Mike,
Good luck on the retirement plan. :ripped:
TRapin,
Basically my publisher would not allow me to label the Ford book as Pro-Touring since most Ford guys don't know what Pro-Touring is. I had to use their term for modifying Fords, which is Restomod. As far as the guy who coined the term "Restomod" and I are concerned, the term Restomod is pretty much the same concept as Pro-Touring. For most of the Ford enthusiasts my book takes Restomod to the next level. A good portion of the general information from the GM book is the same in the Ford book, but the Ford book got all new Ford specific information never written about before and definitely never all included in one book. Heck, I even included general information that never made it into the GM book.
If my publisher gives me the thumbs up for the MOPAR book, it will be called "How To Build and Modify Chrysler Pro-Touring Street Machines" or something like that. I consider these a Pro-Touring Book Series.
I hope that answers your question. :)
Andrew,
Thanks! That's cool. I had no idea...
Steve,
Thanks! Can't wait to see the issue. Mopar in my future? I hope.
Vince,
I'll bring some copies to sell at the SEMA dinner and a couple for the raffle. :)
Everyone,
Thanks for the support and interest.

Thanks Z,
I'll be in Bakersfield this weekend, so I can't make the Camaro Club meeting. :hand: If it were only next week. I was really hoping to drive the car to the meeting. :ripped:
There's always next month,

Thanks Tony. I had forgotten about the Fords going by the term Restomod. That would make sense.
