I'm in charge of the goodie bags for an upcoming car show (http://www.BasehorCarShow.com). We're assembling stuff for 250 bags. I've hit "the usual" sources for stuff - Summit, Jegs, Eastwood, Speedway, Grundy, Hagerty, local eating establishments, etc... Tourism dept. is donating state road map, chamber of commerce also kicked in local stuff, local banks donated pens & paper, etc. Even got the local grocery store to donate some candy...

How about some IDEAS or suggestions (even links) for neat literature & stuff you're received or would like to find in goodie bags sometime??? I've got about 2 months left to gather stuff, and would like to make these unique (and awesome).

Fire away guys! :throw:

BTW, you're all invited - the show is in the Kansas City area, 5 miles west of Kansas Speedway. A little over 300 entires last year.

Went to a car show where a car magazine (i think Northern Rodder) had donated a bunch of unsold old issues of there magazine (3 months old) so the participants had something to look at (and maybe get hooked). Its a thought.

clipboards are nice too, the same car show had 5"X7" clipboards for going around and writing your pics doen for each class. It was nice to carry it around and have something hard to write your answers on.

I saw you mentioned pens, thats the number 1 thing cuz us guys always forget pens :)

What about talking to local photographers and see if you can get deals on getting their cars shot? I was at a show with a guy that did some cool digital stuff with the cars. I know it probably wouldnt be free...but for a raffle, or maybe a percentage off in the bag?

We've got a photographer already lined up who is taking digital shots of the cars as they come in. He'll have 8x10's for sale on site.

Hmmm... wonder where I could get some back issues of PHR???? :dunno:

Good idea on the clipboard - although this show is "judged", so the participants won't need one to fill out ballots.

Good ideas - keep 'em coming! :seizure:

Not a bad idea.. 250 is a lot to ship but I will see if we have that many laying around..

I have stickers but that is a big chunk of our suppy.. do you need 250 or can you take less and just fill bags till your done?

Just curious..

Theresa - email sent! THANK YOU!

Steve - we'd appreciate ANYTHING you can come up with. Heck - they don't even need to be the same issue or anything - we'll take whatever you can spare in whatever quantity you can come up with.

In addition, individual "door prizes" are given out in a drawing - if you have a neat "single" items like hats, shirts, jackets, etc, we'd GLADLY accept those as well!!! (Boy, I sound like such a "mooch"! :help!: )
