Anyone have 18 inch wheels and these brakes?

I am spec ing wheels right now in prperation for my rear (which is in queue to be built) so I want to have wheels and tires in place before my builder makes the rear cuts.

I would print out the template from the link below. Make sure it it scaled properly when printed. Have your wheel manufacturer check prior to purchasing the wheels just to be safe.

i have Forgeline wWC3's in a 18in and they clear the c6 Z06 rears with no problem. If you are running the fronts also that is where you can run into clearance issues/

I'm pretty sure JDMan (project 'dust off') is running c6 z06 brakes on 18" Wc3's.

I have the c6 z06 brakes with 18" wheels. They fit but it is very tight and those calipers are very wide.

thanks Everyone! 18 inch it is....
thus far by theoretical is
18x10 8 inch backspace... front.
18x12 or 11.5 with 8 inch backspace...

335 30 rear.

I'm running the C6 Z06 brakes with 14" rotors front and 13" rotors rear. I'm also running a Moser full floater which sets the calipers inboard much more than on a conventional axle rear. Clearance is not an issue with 18" wheels. If you look in the background of the following pic you can see the inside of the left wheel and it's clearance to the caliper.

Fronts are 18x10

I have the kore3 setup, no issues with (even with my 17" rims but that is not normal) really close up front but it is more an issue of spoke clearance than a diameter problem.

Which rims do you have, Dan? I'm figuring out my plan for my 67 Belair.

u am torn between 2 wheels, thats good thing to ask the vendors regarding clearance.

If you'e having wheels made, it shouldn't be a problem since you know you want to use the C6 Z06 calipers now. I ran into a problem with my rear Rushforths, but its my fault because I initially built them for C5 calipers. My problem is the mounting pad was not tall enough. As long as they are built with the C6 Z06 brakes in mind you should be ok.

ROH Snyper, 17x8 front, 17x9 rear... Really makes people scratch their heads with that much brake filling them up. Problem now is there seems to be better tire selection in 18" rims.

As others have stated, the clearance issues will more than likely be the caliper overhang clearing the spokes. C6 Z06 rear brakes typically require a minimum of 1.5" pad spacing. The overhang is actually 1.44".

Kore3 brake kits are the best bang for the buck out there IMO. In case you missed it, he has templates that you can use for fitment/clearance concerns. http://www.kore3.com/tech.php

For reference, here is a quick shot of my front 18" clearing the 14" 6-Piston C6 brakes without any problems. The overhang in the front is 1.69".
