haha I was disappointed to see the first car a first gen, looks like my chances are out. But for me I would really be sorta disappointed not to be able to work on my car.

Do you have any idea the make/model of the wheels that were used?
Or were they a design just for this car?

That car appeared to be in great shape going in.
It must be nice not having to worry about how($$$) much you're spending and just order everything on your wish list.
Why is it that they only work on cars in California?? come to the Midwest.

I'll ask Mark Oja if he has the details on the paint.

The picture with Jessi standing in front of the car and it is dark outside in the background is literally 2:00 A.M. the day of the reveal. They basically had a day and night shift with people working non stop on the car for the last few days.

Don't get me wrong, I really am sympathetic to the situation since it gets brought up quite often.
I am not speaking for the show or the producers but after having been involved with this show 7 times I can fully understand why they keep it somewhat local. It would be very tough for all parties involved to take time to be involved with a reveal that was anything but local to So-Cal. The A-Team for the most part all have regular jobs so taking even more time off is certainly a lot to ask. Not to mention the many vendors and their employess that were involved with the build. As a supplying vendor it is very beneficial for us to be involved with "The Reveal". It is the best part and truly the icing on the cake to meet the 'Mark' and his/her family. We have used these vehicles as marketing tools after the fact with open houses and local shows. Considering the airing of the show could be months after the vehicle was finished/delivered/revealed that would be next to impossible with a vehicle that isn't local.
For instance, Bernie's Camaro is scheduled to be in the Meguiar's booth at SEMA. That would be real hard to do with a car that was delivered 2000 miles away a month ago.

I would be tempted to move to California if he'd do a car for me for free. And I'm only 3000 miles away.

Those are some nice looking parts you guys installed. I must say I also really like the new show format. Seems much more real without the deadline drama. It's also cool that if you go by the pics posted here, 2 girls built most of the car.

I can understand the local issue, but get a car from someone who really doesn't have the money to do the car. This Camaro was in nice shape. Compare this car to the first show this year with the 1965 Impala. That car needed work and the "mark" sold the car to the producers. Now there is someone who would appreciate getting his car done. To add to the equation, he was in the service. That reveal was awesome!

I received an e-mail from Bernie the other day. He had won "Best of Show" at the Lompoc Fire & Police Car show.
