So in my quest to return to the Atl, GA area I'm finding some jobs way north of ATL and into Tennessee itself. I'm just curious to know what people think about the Chattanooga area in terms of living. Is there a lot to do for fun and socializing? How's the car scene etc? I'm single with no kids or anything. Love the mountains and have always enjoyed the area but don't know anything about living there.

Thanks

its not terrible but its not great i lived in atlanta for 10 years and i lived in dalton/chattanooga area for 2 years and honestly aside from some nice twisty backroads there was nothing to do in chattanooga or dalton atlanta was much more to my liking saw a few nice cars around but not many saw way more in atlanta and surrounding areas

i may be biased as my last car (supercharged ls1 t/a) was totaled up there (someone rear ended my car pretty hardcore) so i kinda have a dislike for the place cause bad memories lol

Chattanooga is a great town, and is getting better by the day. The hottest spot is on the north side of the river, across from downtown. Very trendy area, great little bars / pubs, lots of younger crowd. There is a lot to do there, and most of the shops have local magazines / outing guides. Dalton is nice, but not as professional of a crowd, depending on what you are looking for. But north of Atlanta is still my preference. Close to a lot of cool towns, and about a few hours drive from everything i could want.
