Here's the plan: take a 40 Plymouth Coupe, drop in modern internals including engine, trans, suspension and brakes and modern comforts. I need a bunch of info. I've looked around and there are a number of places that do harnesses but who does them really well and would tune the computers. I would love the take a salvage vehicle and use the engine trans ac maybe even gauges etc but I'm not seeing anything with a frame and I don't know what the clips are like in charger/magnum etc unit bodies. I'm not a dodge guy but I don't want to put an LS in this - its got an early hemi in it now. Any ideas, help, recomendations, websites etc would be appreciated.
thanks
Scott

I book marked that website. Have you had any dealings with them?

There is no easy chassis swap for that car. Build your own front end, swap to a DSE style clip, or ???? In back I would swing a 9"on a torque arm and call it a day.

Oddly, a 40 plymouth is on my bucket list of cars to build.

Here is a 48, its a wider car so it has vette stuff under it http://www.motortrend.com/one_lap_of_america/112_2009_one_lap_1948_plymouth_coupe_glenn_dodd_mi ke_stein_charles_lovelady/

I need to find out just how wide it is. It would be awesome to hang a charger engine cradle and rear subframe in it.
