The wife is looking for a nice driver 1st gen Camaro for around $15K and saw this on Ebay. There is no way this car with all it's got is only going for $11,700. Heck, the engine costs more than that much less all the other high-end performance parts. Plus it's a contact seller deal which would keep Ebay out of the loop. Don't get me wrong, I would love to pay this amount for a fantastic car but it just can't be real so this must be a scam. Does anyone know this car or owner?
He has no history or feedback either, so I emailed the guy and asked for his address and phone number stating I wanted to come see and drive the car this weekend and 3 hrs. later, still no answer. I see nothing but red flags here, what's your guys' take?

Maybe it's just the dry summer, but the landscape looks rather arid for Des Moines and in the background of the fourth picture there appears to be some sort of palm tree (or is it a pine).

I've flagged it to the Ebay people but it's still up there!

Yeah, not Des Moines. No palm trees in Iowa. Scam. somebody needs to turn it around and do a scam on him. " I am a wealthy asshat and want to buy your car. I will send you 15k and when my delievery drive gets there just pay him the difference for pick up. I am currently in Anartic on vacation and cannot pick it up myself."

Looks like a new way to scam people, notice no buy it now and also it's not a normal auction format with a time line, so he wants you to contact him and do the transaction outside of eBay, that way you're not covered by the eBay protection plan and he gets in no trouble.

No price on the ad now.....
Yeah, all the flags for a scammer....the giveaway is if you contact the guy and say you want to inspect and drive it, the car is either "unavailable" or they don't answer.
This happened a while back to me....a certain "great deal" car was listed on US ebay motors as located in Sydney Australia ( US owner living abroad)....so I tried to contact the guy to test drive it and inspect it (figured it was a scam)....lol, the guy had every excuse under the sun why I couldn't go look at the car. Guess he never figured anyone would be "local" when he listed it as in another coutry, lol.
